In this 7-week journey to the cross, we are leaning into the final words of Jesus — often called the “7 last words.” Anytime someone speaks their last words, you lean in. You listen carefully. You don’t want to miss a single syllable. Seven in Scripture represents completion and perfection. Seven days of creation. One moment of sin in Genesis 3 that shattered everything. Seven statements from the cross to redeem it. One declaration — “It is finished.” One resurrection — “He is risen.” What sin cost us, the cross completed for us. This message walks through Luke 23 as Jesus is led to Golgotha. The crowd chooses Barabbas. Pilate declares Him innocent. The soldiers nail Him to the cross.
