Forty+ years of God's faithfulness

Our Story

At Together We Church, we're all about people.

Together We Church was started as a mission church on October 7, 1979, in a joint effort of the Capital Baptist Association and Chisholm Heights Baptist Church of Mustang, OK. On that first Sunday, there were 88 people in attendance. On January 17, 1980, Ted Kersh was called as the mission's first pastor, and on May 18, 1980, the church was officially dedicated as Trinity Baptist Church of Yukon with an existing membership of 331.

From its earliest days, the congregation has had a strong commitment to sound Biblical doctrine and a great passion for evangelism. By remaining true to these original principles and by the efforts of numerous leaders, God has done wonderful things through Trinity over the last 40+ years.

In 2004, our church began to pray about relocating its property to become a church that not only reached the people of Yukon, but all of Canadian County. God graciously led a local family to donate the land our church property currently sits on and we moved into our current facility in 2006. God's hand was on our church and God did amazing things in and through the church over the next few years.

A remnant of people, now called the “Faithful 400,” continued to believe God had a plan and a future.

Trinity then went through a difficult season of direction and change. The church lost sight of the call that God had for us and began to diminish in size and effectiveness. However, there was a remnant of people now called the “Faithful 400” who continued to believe God had a plan and a future for Trinity Baptist Church.

In June of 2019, Trinity called Senior Pastor Brian Mills to lead our church. Since that day, our church has become one of the fastest growing churches in America, seeing the largest numbers of salvations, baptisms, and attendance in our church's history. Glory to God!

In 2021 we opened the Together We Center to better serve the growing needs of Canadian County. The center houses three amazing ministries: Faith Clinic, Manna Pantry, and Woven Clothing Boutique.

In 2022 we launched a building campaign called Faith Steps to meet the needs of our growing church. The new construction will be completed this year.

February 4, 2024

A historic day

February 4, 2024 was a historic day in the history of our church as the name was officially changed from Trinity Baptist Church to Together We Church. Founding pastor Ted Kersh was there to be a part of the announcement on that day, along with 2,500 in attendance.

Our hope, by God's grace, is to be a church who reaches the people of Canadian County by continually offering God's free gift of salvation through Christ to all those we encounter, who disciples our people to grow in their faith to become fully devoted followers of Christ, who sends our people out on mission to serve the church, the community and beyond, and who impacts all generations present and generations to come for Christ.

Together, we are a reaching, discipling, and sending church impacting generations for Christ.
